Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix discovered early that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed in second place in the 200 meter event at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and signed an agreement with Adidas. In the year 2004, she enrolled in the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for running 200m in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest participant in the 200-meter race during the World Championships held in Helsinki in the year 2005. She won her medal the following year, by beating the long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed at the top of the podium in her various races in the Olympics which took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
