Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November of 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident from the moment she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks following her very first tryout. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation signing a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics, in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by the 200m race in 22.18 secs. She became the youngest world winner in the 200m in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently in the top 3 throughout her competitions in the Olympics held in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
